Step into the vibrant world of Hero Sushi, a delightful sushi restaurant nestled within the bustling Westfield Shopping Centre in Chermside, Queensland. Here, the art of sushi-making is celebrated, bringing you a delectable array of dishes that promise to transport your taste buds straight to Japan.

At Hero Sushi, you’ll find a menu brimming with authentic Japanese offerings, showcasing the delicate craftsmanship that goes into each bite. Their special offer, featuring all dishes at a tantalizing $3.80, provides a perfect opportunity to sample a variety of flavors without breaking the bank. While enjoying a casual lunch or a quick snack, don’t miss the chance to indulge in their nigiri, which has garnered praise for its delightful freshness, allowing you to savor the natural sweetness of the seafood — a true highlight in the world of sushi.

The ambiance at Hero Sushi is relaxed and welcoming, making it an ideal spot to unwind after a day of shopping. You may even find yourself charmed by the dynamic teamwork displayed by the chefs, with a refreshing perspective offered by the talented female sushi chefs who bring their own unique flair to the kitchen, as noted by a pleased customer. Imagine the joy of watching them expertly prepare your meal while you soak in the delightful aromas wafting through the air.

In your quest for a quick bite, however, there are a few notes of caution. One customer mentioned their experience with what seemed to be outdated avocado, which can be a minor setback in an otherwise enjoyable dining experience. Additionally, while the month-long buffet is a fantastic value for sushi enthusiasts, ensure to arrive in good time so that you’re not left wanting, as sashimi availability can be inconsistent during busy periods.

In conclusion, Hero Sushi represents a charming fusion of affordability, quality, and authentic flavors nestled in a convenient location. With friendly staff, a cozy atmosphere, and dishes that leave you craving for more, it truly is a hidden gem worth a visit when you're in Chermside. Grab your chopsticks and treat yourself to a sushi experience that promises both satisfaction and a touch of excitement!

We were there at about 3.30pm on a week day for a quick bite. We saw the special with all dishes for $3.80 and lowered our expectations. But we're pleasantly surprised. The food was reasonably good and the service was friendly. I particularly liked that two chefs were ladies for a change. We walked away quite happy. The only issue we found was the use or old avocado. See photo, but other than that everything was fresh and tasty.

The one month long buffet is value for money and the food is decent. The nigiri pieces were as expected. The sashimi was fresh and could taste the sweetness of seafood. However, after ordering 9 plates of sashimi in the first round, the service staff apologetically said the sashimi was sold out when there was only 3 to 4 tables of 2 diners per table. How is it possible that a sushi restaurant could run out of sashimi when they just started dinner service. We arrived at the restaurant at 5pm. Unfortunately 1 hr of dining time is way too short to enjoy the food as the time includes waiting for our orders. A lot of the food that we wanted were not on the sushi train. The agedashi tofu was overcooked and tasted like it was frozen, not made from fresh tofu. The restaurant closes way too early for people who work long hours. It is hard to get there in time to dine!
